Problems with playing Microsoft mpeg4 v2

If I use graphedit I can see what filters are used to play microsoft mpeg4 v2 file and I can play that file using windows player. See attached screen. But when I try to play that file use sage it fails with error. See attached. My sage is set to use directshow for mpeg4 playback. Is it possible to see what codec is being use in real time when sage is playing the mpeg4 file?

thx

That error says it can't access the filesystem. Is Sage trying to play it locally or over the network?

You need to specify in the sageclient.properties file what codec you want to play mp4 files. Like PowerDVD 8 or Arcsoft Total Media Experience. You also need one of those installed on your machine.

I checked the name of the filter used when using graph edit and then I edit sage.properties file:

videoframe/msmpeg4_video_decoder_filter=Microsoft MPEG-4 Video Decompressor
videoframe/msmpeg4v2_video_decoder_filter=Microsoft MPEG-4 Video Decompressor

it did not help same error?

Sage doesn't use Haali Meida Splitter. It uses its own. So if it needs Haali Media splitter to use MS MPEG4 it probably won't work for you. Where did you get the MS MPEG4 codec? I have Vista Ultimate and it is not on my machine.
