cannot play mp4 created by sage with direct show

In sage.properties I have:
always_use_dshow_player=true

when I try to play sage encoded file which is according to media info:
MPEG-4 (base media)
format, sage gives me an error: (-4,0x0) problem with rendering,
when I try to play same file directly using graphedit , i get an error:
AppName: graphedt.exe AppVer: 9.4.78.0 ModName: clm4splt.ax
ModVer: 1.0.0.4409 Offset: 0000e2e0

it works when i switch to sage player

looks like something related to cyberlink spliter,

also sage console says:

here is my problem,
when trying to play sage file it crashes becasue it tries to use cyber link codec which does not know how to play the file,
is there a way to force H.264 files to be played by cyber link, but sage files to be played by ffdshow?
It looks like the sage file is also h.264 but somehow dirrerent than one that cyberlink can play?
(I dont want to loose the hardware acceleration when playing h.264 files)

The always_usa_direct_blah_blah=true line tells Sage not to use the sage player but instead use direct show. The Sage player supports mp4, but you told Sage not to use it.

So you have to do one of two things, either install a direct show player that supports mp4 (and most likely add a line in the SageClient.Properties file to tell sage what that decoder is), or upgrade to Sage 6.5.8 and under Setup inside Sage there is an option to have sage use the Sage player strictly for mp4.

i did install mp4 support using the cccp, but because files are in h.264 i wanted to use cyberlink codec for that, but it looks like sage h264 is not supported by cyber link and cyberlink crashed. I could lower the priority of cyberlink codec but then i would be forced to use software to process the stream instead of the hardware acceleration supported by cyberlink codec.
My thinking is that sage h264 is not compatible with the standard?
where do I get 6.58 version? edit ( i found it its beta)

I thought some people were able to get Sage to use the cyberlink decoders for mpeg-4. I remember threads about it, but I think at the time part of the solution was to use the Haali splitter. Hopefully someone with more experience in this area will chime in.

You can download the 6.5.8 RC (it's still a beta) from this thread:
http://forums.sagetv.com/forums/showthread.php?t=39088

There's an option in Detailed Setup to use the Sage Player for mpeg-4. But again I think others have mp4 working with a directx player.

i was able to get mp4 to be played with cyberlink.
The only problem is that the files recorded by sage in mp4 format are not played by cyberlink codec,
