I already have that set. For some reason tonight it's behaving extremely well (staying around 200MB with 1xHD200 and 1xHD100 running. I'm crossing my fingers that something in the reboot last night took care of the problem for now.

BTW, is your system still running well?

I had to reboot my server last night for an unrelated reason, but it has been up for 14 hours and using 175MB with a peak of 333MB, so still running pretty well.

Did you do any setting changes or just recycle?

Thanks,
Jeff

Hi guys. New to the whole SageTV thing. I too noticed an odd issue with memory usage and SageTV. I'm running SageTV Media Center WHS on my home server. When I restart it via the WHS console, it shows it's using about 105 mb of memory....but after several hours of it just sitting there with no extenders accessing it or even hooked up to it (still waiting for it to arrive from Sage), the memory in use for the SageTV service in Task Manager slowly creaps up. I noticed it got up to about 190 mb after about 3 hours. I've restarted the service again to run another test now to see if it repeats this increasing memory usuage. Very odd.

I already had all of those settings other than the fact that I have my Java max heap size somewhat larger (1332). It was looking good when I went to bed last night, but by the time I got home from work today it was up to almost 900MB and holding. It maxed out at 1200MB. I'm home all day tomorrow and I plan on installing the newest Java (release 12) since I'm currently running the previous release (release 11). One thing that has me thinking is that I use autocompress using EP's plugin (version 3.0). I think that is just about the only thing I'm using that you aren't.

One other thing is that the kids were home most of the day and were probably watching ripped DVDs.

I am currently running 11 also... Mine has been up for 1 day and 3 hours, and the memory is 213 and max 367. Are you running XP or Vista?

Thanks,
Jeff

I'm running XP SP-3. I upgraded to 12 and it had to reboot the system. It's staying really low (~175MB) for now, but it hasn't been even 12 hours yet.
