Problem playing dts audio files

I'm currently evaluating Sage and ran into a problem playing DTS (and AC3) audio only files. These files are audio tracks that I ripped from some of my music DVDs. They play fine outside of Sage e.g. in Media Player/Media Center (filter graph looks like this: dts file -> Microsoft MPEG 1/DD Audio Decoder -> DirectSound Device) passing the data via SPDIF to my AVR.

But when I try to play them in Sage I get only errors. I've played around with the audio decoder/renderer settings, using the default dhshow settings, but also specifying SPDIF and the MS Decoder. All other sound playback like e.g. DVDs and AC3 TV, wmas works fine with these settings.

Has anybody seens this before?

Here's and excerpt of the log:

I have just started playing around with this and converting my DVD-Audio discs to audio files. I don't think Sage can currently handle DTS files. If I go into "Browse Media Files" in the standard STV it doesn't list DTS files but does list AC3 files.

I mainly want this to work on my HD100 extender. I can play AC3 files successfully in Sage on my PC and the HD100 (although the HD100 cuts off the end of AC3 files which I have reported to support). I converted the DTS files to DTS-WAV files and they just play static on the PC in Sage as expected. They do play fine on my HD100 with my Sony receiver, however, there is no audio with my HK receiver for some reason (it detects DTS but acts like it is muted). I think this might be due to it being 48 kHz because I ripped a DTS-CD (44.1 kHz) and it plays fine on both receivers with the HD100.

In any case, I think you might be out of luck playing DTS in Sage on the PC. It doesn't seem to recognize the DTS file format and you will need something like ASIO support in Sage to play DTS-WAV.

Sage does read these files someway. There's an entry in the log that shows
[#0 Audio[DCA 48000 Hz 6 channels 768 kbps idx=0]] , which obviously means that it does recognize something, but then instead of just of passing these through via dshow, it causes an errror.
As mentioned above, I get the same problem with AC3 audio files (similar rips of the DD track of DVDs].

As a workaround, is it possible to use another player for music instead? (I don't really like the music library presentation in Sage anyhow, but that's a somewhat different story...)

I believe there is a plugin to use Winamp for playback.
