AVer M780 crash when tuning DTV

I'm having trouble getting SageTV to configure ATSC channels on my AVer Media M780 combo tuner. It just crashes when it tries to scan for signals.

I noted that there was a sticky post regarding AVer analog tuners, but for me, this is working fine. It is only the digital tuner that doesn't seem to want to work.

This crash may be due to the HW / OS configuration I am using:

CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad - X48 chipset (as opposed to the more common X38)
Memory: 8Gb DDR3
Video: nVidia GeForce 9800 GT
Tuner: AVerTV Combo PCIe (M780)
OS: Windows Vista Ultimate x64 SP1

I've actually had a lot of problems getting other media servers to run, including AVer Media Centre itself (it just crahses after the spash-screen), so I am begining to dispare that I'll have to go back in reinstall a 32bit OS.

The only thing that seems to work is WMC, but in Canada, WMC can't receive ATSC so I am looking for alternatives.

Any help you can provide would be appreciated.
