HD-PVR and SPDIF question
I am running Sage for WHS with 2xHD-PVRs. I am using the 1.053 drivers which I recently updated to but I am still using analog audio.
How do these drivers work with SPDIF audio? Are there any side effects - i.e. loud pops when changing channels, etc. When I go to change my HD-PVR tuner setup in Sage to switch from analog audio to SPDIF do I have to rerun the whole setup wizard for this tuner including redoing the lineup, etc? Or is it just a case of changing one option and you are done?

I do not experience any pops/crackles with 1xHD-PVR and DirecTV. I also have my "delay_to_wait_*" property set to 4000ms.
As far as changing to SPDIF, you should first disconnect the analog audio cable, then it's a simple tuner change option. I think I had to restart Sage one time to get the change to stick, but it's just an FYI for now. -Brian |

One more question - you don't have to set anything in TME do you? I don't even have Arcsoft TME installed on my Sage WHS server. It is installed on my client PC, which used to be my Sage server, but I never bothered putting it on my server as I am not even sure it will work on WHS and I use extenders and my client for playback.

You can change the settings from analog to SPDIF either through the Arcsoft app or Sage. (So I'm told. I always used TME.)

That's the only reason I installed in on my WHS. To access the settings and for any tests I needed to do for troubleshooting. Luckily I didn't have to do any troubleshooting.
