Installing UIRT w/Service Mode Stopped
I am attempting to install a UIRT into Sage V5.04 to control a Sat Box. I am aware of the bug where you can't teach remotes codes with the Service Mode running because I can hold the "0" all day long waiting for the message to stop! However with the Service Mode stopped I can not get to the tuning screen. All I get is the Service Mode lost message. If I shut down Sage and restart with the Service turned off, the "Select a tuning option" screen does not have the "Use external cable or satellite receiver"option, just the "Don't configure tuning" option. So...just how is the learning of the new box IR codes done?
Or...Does anybody have the codes for a Hughes HIRD_E8 Sat box?
I downloaded the USB-UIRT "Helper Utility" and it instantly read the "0" IR code, so I now the UIRT is working. So my question is how do I get Sage to "Learn" without Service Mode running OR can you create the IR file from the "Helper" utility? And How is it formatted for Sage?
