HD200: What Is It Inside The Box?

This is a totally gratuitous question - no practical application whatsoever for the answer, but it's been in the back of my mind since day 1.

What's inside that little black box?

A Linux system running PlaceShifter or Client?

Is the mobo Sage-specific or off-the-shelf? Maybe something from VIA?

The review doesn't say if it's linux (my guess) inside or FreeBSD (preferred) though.

EDIT:
I guess it does say, sort of:

"Logging in to the box
For those of you interested in digging into the embedded linux running the HD200, you can telnet into the HD200 with something like Putty to access the directories. Just log in as 'root' with no password."
Root with no password is definately linux although it doesn't say which distro. Oh well...

Also, from the writeup's context and somebody elses' post, it's starting to dawn on me that if I want to buy either PlaceShifter or Client for one of my PCs, Client would be the low-load option and PlaceShifter would provide more functionality from outside of my home LAN. Does this ring true?

I just got my first HD200 and it's going in the master bedroom. Boy are those two little lights bright, not to mentoin the annoying blinking.

I'm putting black electrical tape on them too.
