I see lots of threads around here talking about stability, it's great for some, terrible for others, some have 8 tuners working, others can't get one, etc.

SageTV has a great user base with a wide variety of hardware, and nearly every combination has been discussed here at some point.

I think it would be good to start a thread where everyone can post their system specs and a quick rating of it's stability. So please vote in the poll and feel free to post your specs.

Please try to limit this thread to system specs and stability

I would request that we try to keep this thread as clean as possible, to make it a quick reference for what configurations work and which are problematic.

Also you can select more than one option if you have/had more than one setup.

SageTV 2.0.13 is stable.

This system hasn't crashed since a new Maxtor drive failed back in Dec. Who knows whether I would have problems if there were 2 pci encoders.

I doubt this configuration will help anyone... who wants to build one of these!? But, the usb2 encoder certainly has no conflict with my 250.

I am perfectly stable on an AMD board. You just have to know how to make a stable and properly cooled system with the correct drivers installed.

All 3 of my systems can handle sagetv with no problem at all.

--- totally stable, left on 24/7, only times I have to restart Sage is when I change something in the properties file. This is a dedicated Sage system with no monitor connected, only tv.

Both are ASUS/P4 with Corsair RAM. One is Windows Server 2003, the other Windows XP Pro.

Thumbs down for Windows 2000 Server which could not accomodate my 2 250s on either of two different motherboards.

System works for a week or two at a time without any issues, then it shows signs of lack of memory in apps other than Sage. Reboot it & it works fine for another couple weeks.

Solid as a rock!. Better then my Tivo in fact.

I reboot the server anywhere from 1-3 months just for the hell of it. Never locks up, never reboots it's self, never blue screens, and I never missed a recording. Not once, nada!!!

So far I have only 1 crash. The D-link 802.11g wireless network requires 1 router reboot per week with the old firmware. It's updated to the latest (Feb) firmware on the router and hopefully this is resolved.
