16 vs 15

Is there another way to tell if a PVR250 is 16 vs 15 other than heat sink?

I have it, which implies that I have a v15. But - it isn't really a run of the mill PVR, it is an OEM one pulled out of a gateway that has GATEWAY all over it. I could imagine them doing something silly like putting a heatsink on a 16, and that would suck. Any way to check from the drivers or wintv itself? (The reason I ask is I want to add a pvr350).

Go to your device manager -- Does the card's listing end as "Encoder-16" or just plain 'Encoder"?

The latest consensus seems to be that means it is a 15. I don't remember if that was ever confirmed as a 100% way to tell the difference, but it is the only way I've seen other than to look at the cards.
