Wacky Database

This thing is fine except for the corrupt database it seems to compile.
When I added in my music from my network attached storage it duplicates some songs. In other words, a 8-song CD becomes a 16 song CD. It also tells me the database is full. On the NAS I have about 100 videos, 5700 songs, and 5100 photos. I want to use it in standalone mode.

Can I do anything here? I don't think that the stuff I have should choke this product.

write a bug report with as much detail of how/what/why as you can.
i'm also new here and they are really fast at getting things fixed when they have good bug reports (they probably solved a half dozen problems i've reported in less than a week of ownership!)

use the bug system

The database has a limit of 32,000 items in the database. It may be possible that if those videos are huge it could have hit some sort of limit. Make sure yo have picked the correct folder for your imports and that you aren't getting duplicates from further down in your sub-folder hierarchy.

And definitely file a bug report if you are running the beta firmware. (If you have updated to the latest. If you haven't tried that first)

There isn't a set # of item limit for the database; it is a memory size limit for the db. The number of items it takes to hit that limit depends on the amount of info that needs to be stored for each one.

If items are being imported twice, check to see whether there are two different import paths that lead to the same files. You could look at the song details for a couple duplicate songs to see how the paths for each song appear to the HD200.
