Any Digital Transition Problems for SageTV users w/ OTA

I've noticed lots of Windows Media Center and Snapstream BeyondTV users experiencing problems with OTA channels related to the Digital switchover. I think it's somewhat related to zap2it which is also where SageTV gets it's guide data so I'm wondering if any of you OTA users have noticed problems.

Or is SageTV immune to the issues

I have the HVR-1800 and an HVR-2250 (both Hauppauge) for ATSC OTA recording. I have not had any EPG, reception or tuning problems since installing them last August.

No problems yet. But just wait until they really turn off the analog and switch those transmitters to digital...

I have no idea what issues or problems you're referring to, but I've been running an all-digital OTA Sage system for going on three years now. The only issues I have with reception are during especially heavy weather, or when the broadcaster screws something up at their end (as our local Fox affiliate has been doing a lot lately). I suspect we'll see more transmission-end screwups as the deadline gets closer. Obviously no PVR system can protect you from those.

So, to summarize, what you're worried about is analog broadcast channels disappearing prematurely from the EPG? Can't help you with that, since I don't have any analog tuners in my system. The digital channel lineup I use has been stable for years.

I think I see what you mean, Brent, but I think Sage's guide data is linked to the station call sign rather than the broadcast frequency. So Sage won't have the same problem on that one.

Correct. Sage can also get data from PSIP, another huge plus!

If the station IDs get messed up at Zap2it, Sage could be affected, but the chances of that happening on a global scale are low.
