Movies in Pictures area?

My wife REALLY likes the functionality of our digital camera to take short movie clips, along with pictures. When showing off our pictures it would be very nice if we could show these movies from the same place.

Generally, we'll close sage and navigate in windows explorer, which sucks, but works.

Is there a way to make these two things show up in the same place in sage? Should this be a feature request (how do I do that?)

Thanks,
Joel

Not sure if this will work but If you go to your sage.properties files (make sure you have sagetv not running and look for "seeker/picture_library_import_filename_extensions=.jpg,.gif,.jpeg,.jpe,.png" Add the video extension and startup sagetv.

I don't know if the picture section is capable of playing videos or if your going to hose everything. I would suggest you backing up before you make the change.

If doesn't work, you can submit a request to the support email.

I tried the suggested change to the sage.properties file, but didn't have any luck. I'm not entirely POSITIVE that my machine hasn't re-scanned the files to update content, but its been two days + my "regularly rescan" setting is turned on.

Is there a way to manually force a scan just to be sure?

Unless you customize the STV, you won't get a movie to play from the picture browser, even if it were listed there.
