question about customizations not showing up in both sage server and extender

I have been making a few subtle changes to the layout of sagetv and am not sure why what I am doing is not showing up on both ethe sage server and the extender. I changed a menue layout and it only seemed to change on the extender, I edited the menu xml file and "some" of the changes showed up on both the server and the extender but not all on the extender.

What am I missing?

Make sure both are running the same STV (XML file)

they are both running the same theme and that is the xml file that i edited, the theme/menu/xml file on my server. do i need to do something else

i edited the xml file in the theme folder. I am runing sagemc if that matters.

Ah, sounds like this should be in the SageMC specific section. I'm not sure how SageMC works with that file.

You need to make sure they are both using the same menu xml
