Guide problems with only 2 channels, please help!

Resolution: Remapped the 2 QAM channels to something else. I believe the call letters were off from what Zap2It had so I had to match those channels up with the correct call letters from Zap2It's site. All my QAM channels were correct except for 2. Bottom line is, if you have 'no data' showing up in the guide, you probably need to remap the channels.

Can anyone help understand why I only have 2 channels in my lineup that give 'no data' and the rest work just fine. I am starting to really lose the WAF since one of those channels are what we record most everthing on.

I am using the WHS 6_5_13 beta verison with a HD200 client. I am using a 2250 tuner card with both analog cable and QAM cable. Its two of the QAM channels that are giving me problems. I am pretty sure they are mapped correctly.

The weird thing was, when I first set this up, I received all channel guides but on the 2 problem channels, I only received like 6 hours worth and it kept doing this for a couple of days (this was last weekend). Now, I don't get anything for these two channels, except 'No Data'. That starting happen sometime the end of last week.

I have tried to rescan, use different guides, totaly uninstall Sage with no luck. Please help. Thanks.

Every channel station needs a unique name. If you have any of the QAM stations named the same as the analog stations you will have issues. I would also think you would want two seperate lineup sources. One for the analog and one for the QAM. If you use one for all of them that may be your issue.

If the QAM & analog stations have the same name, they should just receive the same EPG data.

It sounds like either a mapping issue or a Zap2it issue; check this FAQ: Some of my channels have no Program Guide data, but other channels do and their data is getting updated. Why do some channels have no data? Since it is a cable lineup, Zap2it should be able to provide the EPG data to SageTV, so try remapping the station & see if there is a better match. If there are 2 stations in the list with the same name, try one, then try the other later.

Thanks for the replies. I sent a request in to Sage. I would think it was a Zap2it issue since it did work, barely before. For the record, I do use seperate lineups for analog and digital. My lineups have seperate analog and digital names. Like my local fox channel analog is wupw on channel 12, but the digital version is wupwHD on channel 36.1. However, I'm not even using the Analog at this point, just the Digital. I assume at this point I will have to use the SD channel guide for that fox station.

How do I do this: I want my HD fox 36.1 to use the SD fox channel 12 guide listing?

For me I change the digital number (example: 36.1) to the cable channel number (example: 736) and the station name (example: WUPWHD) in the HD HR utility and for both tuners. Then when I am done scanning in Sage I remap the logical channel to the 736 number. For me this works better and the wife now knows what channel is what. She would have no idea what 36.1 means but she knows the cable channel number 736.
(I've used your numbers and channels for example. Mine is a different cable system.)

Thanks for the reply. What is HD HR? Is that the homerun box? I have a 2250.

BTW, 36.1 is my actual channel. I don't have a cable box, so when I tune into cable direct to the TV, I tune into channel 36.1. All my digital channels are like that.. 11.1, 13.1, 13.2, 13.3, etc., and they all work fine except for my 36.1 and my 5.1. I know these numbers are localized. I tried to enable the log but really couldn't make heads or tales what it was saying, but I didn't see any sort of error when it tried to update the guide.

I even deleted my sources and added one just with 36.1 and still a no go. I wonder how often Zap2it could expierence problems. I would hate to be fighting this only to realize there is nothing I can do until they fix it.

Anyway I can find out if it's on their end?

Yes-it is a homerun tuner. Keep in mind my HDHR is connected directly to the cable also and not thru the cable box. (I use the cable box with my HD-PVR on a different channel listing). Even though my cable scan in the HDHR utilities gives me the same as you, 36.1, 11.1, 12.2, etc. Iremap them to the actual cable channel number. I believe it should work either way and you may want to see if your signal strength or signal quality is low for those 2 channels.

I got it working by remaping the digial to their analog counterpart. I have other problems now that I need to work through. Thanks for the help.
