How to use cover.jpg instead of folder.jpg
I am a 5 year BeyondTV user about to finally move to STV as it clearly has many, many more features and benefits. As a start, is there any way for STV to recognize/use cover.jpg files for music cover art instead of folder.jpg? I have a large FLAC library of around 20k files and each genre/artist/album folder has a cover.jpg file since I also run Squeezeboxes around the house with Slimserver. Is there any way to have STV use a cover.jpg file on import?

Sorry to not give a "real" answer, but you could always find a freeware "file renaming" program, and rename them all "folder.jpg" in one click.... just a thought...

Could you just use both? I would assume Sage would ignore the cover.jpg and pull in the folder.jpg and vice versa for slimsoft?
I know this would add to the space required and I am not sure if there is any software that could automatically do it, but it seems like that would be the alternative. I am not aware of a way for Sage to use cover.jpg rather than folder.jpg (then again I have never really looked).

The other option is most applications that can "tag" your music can also put the cover art in as a tag which Sage can read. I had embedded all my music cover art and had them encoded as FLAC so that could be an option for you.
