sage.PlaybackException (-3,0x80070057) for DVD image files and WMA audio files

Hello all,

I had TheaterTek trial installed and DVD images would play fine; didn't try playing audio during the trial. The trial has now expired and I believe this is why I'm getting the attached error message. Files are local to the server and shared with everyone permission on share/file permissions with full control.

I have installed xpcodecpack, http://www.xpcodecpack.com/ and I still can't play DVD images or audio WMA files. What codecs and settings do you all suggest I use to get back up and running?

TIA!

I also have the DVD images and music on the server, E:\Movies and E:\Music they are shared as Movies and Music and have everyone with full access permission in share/file permissions.

I do not know what else to do. I searched the forums and everything pointed to codecs. I've installed codecs and still can't play.

Helpppp!

Are you trying to play this on a client? If so, the client needs direct access to the files, so you either need to have mapped drive letters on the client that match the import directory, or the import directory needs to be a UNC path that the client has access to.

I'm trying to play directly on server. The client can access them fine with import directories defined as \\dvr\Movies and \\dvr\Music. The exception is music. The client or server can't play music in Sage.
