Is animation just meant to slow down?

I have some animations and with them on the interface is ubruptly slower then with them off is this normal behavior?

The animations are called on focus lost,focus gained (Lost moves item off screen, gained puts new item on)

I am using AnimateDelayed with no delay and setting them to interuptable which doesn't seem to help either

Is it just simply because I have so much on the sreen animation will just kill the performance regardless?

Or am I not calling animations in a good spot using focus gained/lost?

Okay still working on trying to learn animations.

I can't understand why "SMWTexts in not animating on the exit as circled. If I delete the animation call for BottomBack in that area it animates but I need/want them both to animate.

Thanks in advance for any insight. They animate fine coming in but on the out call circled only bottomback animates

Okay I got this animating like I want it now another issue why does the transparancy value not always kick in

For instance I am animating a foreground object(text) with a background image (not layer). they are both under the same widget with the same layer.

When it is animated in it isn't always transparant (background) If I go from fullscreen to widescreen or visa versa it will kick in the transparancy of the image.

Okay not getting much response so i thought I would post a vidcap video showing what I am talking about

Pay attention to the black background that slides in from the bottom.

The first time for the animation it is dark as the trancluceny setting on the image widget isn't respected.

If I animate it again the translucency is there
