Eventghost script to allow minimize/recall to and from tray?

At long last, I have my kitchen pc running sage client on windows 7 flawlessly, including hdpvr files, so I am on to improving the functionality. I am using a medion rf remote via eventghost to control sage with no issues. However, I would like to be able to use the power button on the remote to start sage from the tray, as well as minimize back to the tray. I could swear somewhere around here there was an eventghost config file that did this, but I can't locate it, and can't seem to figure out how to build it myself. Anybody?

Thanks!

Bumping my own four year old thread because I never did get this set up right.

I am now on a core i5 win8.1 client that is a sage client as well as kitchen PC. Goal is to never shut sage down, but minimize to the tray using a Medion RF HTPC remote. I have been successful in getting eventghost to use the remote's power button to minimize sage to the tray, but when maximizing it, it will only move it to the taskbar and blink. I need to intervene with the mouse to make it the "in focus" window.

How can I have eventghost do this? (doesn't matter whether it comes up fullscreen or windowed, I have a button set to toggle that).

I have the menu plugin loaded with EventGhost and rather than minimizing SageTV I close it. Then use the power button to bring up the menu and I select which SageTV server I want to connect to and EventGhost launches SageTV with the -connect <server name> option to start SageTV and connect to the indicated server. You might consider doing something like that. If you want I can post my xml config file for this - will have to be tonight am at work? I use a HD200 remote with USB-UIRT for controlling EventGhost.

Thannk you both, I think Skirge's approach is what I needed.

Bobphoenix, what is the benefit to shutting it down all the way? I find that irritating because it takes a while to start cold, even though I have a brand new machine

When I would bring mine back up I would get a shadow window show up as well. Rather than spend time debugging why I would get two windows one just a gray background then other the actual SageTV display - I just canceled SageTV when I switched to external BD player and back. I had to close it anyway when switching to another server. Didn't want multiple SageTV client instances running at the same time connected to different servers. I was afraid I would delete a recording on the instances that were hidden - if it worked at all.
