sagetv crashing in windows 7 rc
I'm trying to test out my HDPVR and sagetv in win7rc.
I've installed the latest HDPVR drivers, 1.0.5.301, not any from the included cd, just from the website. I've also installed klite codec pack w/ffdshow, etc.. No arcsoft stuff, powerdvd, or anything like that. Installed Sage 6.5.15 clean. When I went through the tuner setup, i picked my HDPVR, then Component input, it gave me the preview video window, but it was all grey with some movement in it (ffdshow video was shown in the system tray). This lasted for about 5 seconds before SageTV crashed. Reboot and resetup produced same result. I'm tempted to uninstall the klite pack, but wonder if anybody had this problem or has any tips. Seondary question..anybody have steps for getting the hdpvr remote working in win7? I installed ir32 and irblast, but when running blastcfg it says no IR hardware found. Thanx in advance, -Tony |

This sounds different than your issue, but I can't get SageClient (latest Beta) to run on Windows 7 RC. It sits there saying "Sage TV Connection is Initializing" for a long while, then I get a dialog with a Java Exception - "An exception occurred in Java: java.lang.NullPointerException."

I have a clean install of Win7RC1 with SageTV Media Center set up as a server. I installed ffdshow_rev2633_20090125_xxl_mt.exe and have playback on my HiDef recordings. SageTV is installed with default settings. My OTA ATSC and HD-PVR recordings all work.
I only have stereo speakers on my test computer but ffdshow does have S/PDIF passthrough. EDIT: I also installed the Hauppauge IR Blaster driver and configuration software so I could use the IR Blaster on the HD-PVR.
