Post Your Java Heap Settings
I found that one of the single best performance things i did with my system was to increase the Java Heap Settings.
What might be helpful to others would be see see some actual numbers. I changed mine to 512 and my system is running much faster. This is on a P4 3.0GHz with 3.5GB RAM.

I have mine at 512 but going to increase to 1G or something inbetween. Going to make the change today or tomorrow.

I've had mine at 512 for over 2 months now. UI is a lot more responsive.

I have mine at 768. When I finally get around to cracking open my server and dumping in the additional 2 sticks of 512mb ram that I have sitting around (to take me up to 3GB), I will probably up it to 1GB. I have never seen it max out even at 768, but I feel there is no reason to not just throw more space at it since I will have it available (otherwise the RAM just sits there idle doing nothing anyway).

Does increasing the Java heap size on the server also affect any extenders you might be using? I've been lead to believe that it will, but I thought I would ask to make sure.
If so, this might be the final motivation for me to crack open the server and add the 2gb of ram I've already bought, but haven't installed yet. The menus on my HD-100 are S L O W.

I'm using 1 GB. I maxed out at 256, at 512, and I max out at 1 GB. But my random crashing problems seem to have gone away.
I seem to max out due to some bug with SageMC that pegs out the Java heap when I access dvr-ms files that I migrated from XP MCE 2005. I detailed this issue here, but never got any resolution. I'm still looking for a workable solution.

I tried 1GB heap a while back and it hosed the system. Had to go back to 512. Sage server itself tends to gobble up over 300MB given time. Starts out much smaller after a reboot.
