Adjusting H.264 settings
the compression profile can make a big difference in bandwidth needed and CPU used.
I have a massive quad core system that should be able to pretty agreessively compress the stream. I have a 1.5mbit Internet link that I would like to jam HD onto. Hulu in the USA can do it. How do do I convince Sage to compress the stream harder? I also find many of my HD recordings from firewire from my STB do not transcode. Am I just missing come codecs? |

Also having HD problems
I'm also having problems with HD recordings (both h.264 and from my hauppauge 2250), but standard def recordings work well.
The HD recordings play choppy for a few seconds (both audio and video), then the sound completely drops out, while the video continues to be choppy. If I hit pause then play, the sound will resume (still choppy), but is off by a few seconds. Thanks, beerandt |
