New Sage installation in Windows 7
Hey all,
I've been using Sage for quite a while now in Vista with the HD-200 extender and I LOVE it! I have no problems whatsoever. Just yesterday I installed the Windows 7 RC as a dual boot to try it out. I have Sage set up on the machine and I can watch my videos, but I can't get the video playback to work with the digital tuners. I have the Hauppauge 2250. I mirrored the settings in the Vista installation for the Windows 7 one, but no luck. I keep getting the error that refers to the capture card not being installed correctly. Can anyone help? Ted |

This is a known issue, not sure if it affects all digital tuners or just some. There is already at least one other thread about this (http://forums.sagetv.com/forums/showthread.php?t=41820) regarding the hdhr. I have the same problem using a vistaview tuner.
Sage on Windows 7 is a no go for now. |

You can use Win7 as a client and put the server on another machine. I have a WHS server that works near flawlessly because all it does is run the capture devices, SageTV, Comskip and serve media files. I easily have 6TB storage in a relatively small package.
My Win7 client works but recently I had to change codecs in order to play .ts files. Win7 is the 32 bit RC.

I am using Sage on Windows build 7201 with an Avermedia m780 using the latest Vista drivers for it. It works beautifully. Both the client and server run on the same PC.

I noticed that I can't run .vob file in SageTV on Win7 7100 build. But I don't know if it is SageTV itself, a missing codec or Win7 that's causing the problem.
