Had an interesting issue tonight

I was watching a live show through the HD200 and clicked 'Stop', and got a black screen. The TV did not indicate 'no signal', so the HD200 was sending -something-. It would not respond to the remote, so I unplugged it to reboot it. It came back up, or so I thought, but there was no audio, either on live TV or recordings. I messed with stuff for awhile... I have SageClient on a PC, and it was working just fine. I updated the HD200 firmware to the latest beta, still no joy. I restored a recent backup of xxclientxx.properties with no change... Crap. Then on a whim, I turned the TV off and back on again, and everything was working again, including audio. I don't understand why that fixed it, but it did. And I don't know what caused the black screen that started this whole thing. But it's working again, that's what counts.......

I have been using Sage for over six months, virtually problem free. It's been great, and I'm glad I bought in. Even the wife is happy with it. I'm hoping for continued smooth sailing.

If anyone has any ideas what would have caused the HD200 to blackscreen, I'd like to hear them. Also, why would turning the TV off & on cause the audio to be restored? FWIW, my HD200 is connected to the TV via HDMI.

Just curious why this thread was moved to the BETA forum..... Doesn't my issue pertain directly to the HD200?

Looks like you're using 6.5.17 Beta.

For Sage Server, true. But I don't think this had anything to do with the server, just the HD200. There was no audio in standalone mode either.

See the quote from your first post -- you said you were using the beta firmware & your sig lines say you are using the SageTV beta software.
