Problems seeing networked movies
Hello, this is my first post, and firstly let me say WOW, SageTV looks so good.
But, I do have a problem. I cant add networked folders as my media folders. ex. I have added the URL of \\server\tv into the import directories, but when i refresh media it finds nothing. I have also tryied to map the network folder to z:\ it shows up in my computer, but NOT in import. But if I put on of he files from the network folder onto the local drive, it finds it. |

If you are running SageTV as a service, then the make sure you have it configured to run as a user and not as localsystem. Services that run as localsystem, and not under a user account, can't access network shares. You may need to have an account with the same username and password on the networked machine as well...if you log in to the desktop as the same user you configured for the SageTV Service, browse to the network shares with Windows Explorer, and if you are prompted for a username and password by Windows Explorer, then you will need to set up an account on the network machine or reconfigure the sharing on that network machine.
For the video problem...have you tried changing the video renderer and video decoder settings in the SageTV->Setup->Detailed Setup->Video/Audio? If you are recording HD with H.264 encoded video, then be sure you have an H.264 decoder and that it is selected in the Detailed Setup->Video/Audio area.
