"Pink" screen - HD100
Updated the HD 100 with the new firmware 20090611 1 and, with the video output set to 1080p, the screen is mostly pink. Change the output to 480p and all is normal.
Two questions; 1. Anyone else experiencing this problem ? 2. How do you roll back to the previous firmware ? BTW, updated the HD 200, no problems. |

did you try power cycling the hd100 (hard reset)? or is the cable loose? I've seen this very rarely and power cycling the hd100/200, reciever (if the video is cycled through it), and/or tv always clears up the issue.

Power cycled several times and checked the HDMI cable. And, all was working prior to the firmware upgrade. And, the video is fine at 480p.
I just HAD to 'upgrade' even though it violates the ' don't fix it if it ain't broke' maxim ... |

I have the same problem although my screen is not pink but just no signal (black or blank). I had HDMI running at 1080i or 720p without any issues but right after the upgrade, the HD100 automatically switched over to component output with lower resolution. The only resolutions I can use in HDMI now are 480p and 480i. Even at 480p, the HD100 box will boot up with splash screen on S-Video then it switches to HDMI once it gets to the server selection screen. This firmware version also ask for auto detect of when lauching the video display setting. If I select "Yes", it sets the default output to 480p.
In addition, I upgraded my SageTV to 6.6.1 (this is the main reason I upgraded the HD100 firmware based on the recommendation in the release notes), I can watch everything from download video files, DVD rips, YouTube, Google Video, Watch Live TV to listen to music, but if I watch recorded TV programs it crashes the entire server within 5 to 10 second into the program. My Hauppauge MVP works just fine. I suspect that this HD100 firmware gave me both of the issues mentioned. 1. HDMI can only output at 480p or lower resolution. 2. Watching pre-recorded TV programs crashes SageTV server 6.6.1. Where can I find the instruction to downgrade the firmware on HD100? Thanks. Last edited by engelberg; 08-02-2009 at 12:18 PM. |

It seems I have this issue as well..
1920x1080p@60, everything is pink. 1920x1080i@60, things are mostly ok but there are some twinkling flecks in the menus. 1280x720p@60, everything shakes like it's having a seizure. lower resolutions... fine. AAAGH!! Last edited by BlueH2O; 10-14-2009 at 06:32 PM. |

I've had that as well. Not sure if it ties into a FW update or not.
I had to power or input cycle my TV and in my case it was then gone. I did not try power cycling the Sage ME HD200

I've power cycled everything, but the screen still comes up pink.

Submit a bug report, Sage is very helpful.

George suggests this may be a hardware problem for which there is a (free) fix. I am sending the extender to sage for them to check it out.
