Animate Transitions between Menu Widgets

Is it possible to use AnimateTransition where the source widget and destination widget are both menu widgets. I am trying to animate transitions between two different menu screens and AnimateTransition does not seem to work.

I think I have done this in beforemenuload and beforemenuunload but not with animate transition just with delayed animation.

You can't target a Menu widget for an animation, but you can target the menu's subcomponent UI widgets.

However, AnimateTransition() may not work well for menu transitions because the next menu's UI components may not be defined yet if the menu has not been visited yet (and/or is no longer in the menu cache), in which case the transition won't have something to transition to & the animation may look strange.

The default STV uses Animate() calls in the BeforeMenuLoad and BeforeMenuUnload hooks to animate menu transitions for the navigation menus.
