Safe to manually delete recordings using Explorer?

Is it safe to use Windows Explorer to manually delete recordings, or will that hose SageTV somehow? Thanks.

Yes, you can do that. No ploblem.

But Sage provides for full control of hardisk usage by the user in detailed setup.

You can specify the directory (directories) you want the files to be saved in as well as place limits on the amount of disc space to use or how much disc space to leave free.

That way you don't have to do any housekeeping and Sage does it automatically.

You can also choose to delete recordings within the SageGuide. Choose options and then you can select that recording to be deleted.

Thanks. I was aware of those options, but sometimes I watch my recorded programs from another computer, and would like to be able to delete the ones I've watched that way.
