350 owners
Just wondering what the owners of the PCI 350, or 250 for that matter, use for sources other than TV. I managed to trick BeyondTV into capturing video from my camcorder and it works well. I'd use it except the scheduling/show/time issue and right now I am only playing with the trial. Win2000TV, while having the ability to capture other sources, is not an option. Garbage software with major A/V time sync issues. I spent a few minutes looking about the Sage UI and didn't see a way to make it work. So, what software do you guys use when you want to for example, convert Super 8 VHS, or regular VCR Vhs tapes into mpeg's? TIA

Duh, Sage Recorder. If it were a snake...... I am authoring a DVD at the moment so the video is choppy as I was playing with the recorder software. I'll run through some stuff after the DVD is done. Anyone have any opinions of the overall quality of this product? Encoding and Decoding on SageTV is excellent in my opinion. Comparable on Recorder?

Recorder has the same engine, just a different interface. I use Sage Recorder as a network encoder so that I can fully integrate my PVR-350 into my recorder farm (SageTV controls my PVR-250s, SageTV Client drives the video out on my PVR-350 and SageRecorder drives the video input on the PVR-350). Works like a champ.

When recording other sources, I just use the DVD MovieFactory 2SE that came with my 350. Works well.
