I don't think SageTV is involved....

I don't know... it says it runs Linux and it records mpeg-4....

Not necessarily, there are lots of PVR programs for linux.

Hmmm.... these guys have been trolling around for a while. 6 months ago they were saying they would build it all on hacked x-boxes. If we give them the benefit of the doubt, I kind of like the way they are approaching it with the open source sdk and everything. I'm interested to see how they will handle the HD stuff. Wouldn't they need HDCP in the hardware mix? I'm dying for something like this that will handle HD from my SA set-top box (while not paying $1000 for the Scientific Atlanta HD PVR). Dare to dream.
