Windows 7 Issues

Help!

I just re-did my server with Windows 7 and am having Sage issues.

The server has two NICs. One is used for the LAN in the house, where all the Sage Extenders and PCs running placeshifter are. The Second NIC is for the 2 HDHRs I have (they are on a private ethernet switch that goes into this NIC).

This was working just fine under XP.

The symptoms I get are:

1. HD200 extenders will not find the sage server.
2. Placeshifter clients can't see the server either without explicitly entering in an IP address (under XP the server always showed up).
3. When I go to Setup->Servers->Test Placeshifter connection, it is seeing the wrong ip address. It's telling me to forward 169.254.4.1 for placeshifter. That IP address is for the HDHR NIC. The address for the NIC with the LAN is 192.168.1.50.

something's rotten here and I've been screwing with it for hours and my head hurts.

The only other strange thing is on the HDHR NIC I'm getting the Vista/Win7 "Unidentified Network" thing.

Is there a way to tell Sage to look only for one NIC and not the other?

Thanks!

Did you try disabling the firewall?

miniserver/forced_server_ip=192.168.1.50

See if that fixes your problem..
