Sucess Story
Wanted to fill everyone in on a "good" thing instead of the negatives we usually see.
Reformatted my machine today...wanted to add 2 more tuners to make a total of 4 pvr-250s using 2 Cable, 1 Dishnet, and 1 Directtv source. I had my concerns, but it was pretty smooth once I remembered to change the repeat property high enough to make my UIRT send enough signals to the DSS to change correctly. I did set presentationinterval =1, so no tearing, and no skipping and looks like all 4 turners are doing as they should for now. I may never change from .15. The only issue I had during all of this... I can't get a few of my Dishnet channels to turn off in the channel setup. Seems like some of Dish's channels had the same name, and I think that is the issue. Anyone else seen this? Only other possble issue is heat... man those 250s get hot when they are all crammed in there next to each other. I have a feeling that may become an issue this summer.. might be drilling some more vent holes and finding a way to mount another fan. --Mike |

Had the same problem. Remap the channel number to the same number and then you can turn it off.
