Seems fairly self-explanatory. It's a Windows app that can play back recorded content from a DirecTV DVR on your PC over the LAN. What more do you want to know?
According to their FAQ, it's not a way to get DirecTV DVR content into Sage, if that's what you're wondering, at least not without some sort of analog loopback hack.

Thanks!
Trying to figure whether I want to go HD Theater or some other way to get 1080p through my PC. |

DirecTV2PC only gives you access to recorded shows on your DirecTV DVR. You can't access live TV, the guide, or schedule recordings. Also, if you don't have a HDCP path to your monitor, it won't function.

Yeah, I've just discovered that. My three-year-old Cinema HD monitor is apparently non-compliant, making this software fairly useless for me.

It's got nothing to do with recording content into your PC. For that you need some sort of tuner/capture device, and if DirecTV HD is your source your only option is the Hauppauge HD PVR. |
