Stopping a tuning event

Is there anyway to stop a tuning event that is being controlled by one extender while watching another extender?

I only have one HD-PVR which is used to tune all of my premium channels. The problem is that someone will leave an extender on (and turn the TV off) that is tuning one of those premium channels and then no one else can turn to another premium channel. The only solution I have today is to either walk around to the 5 extenders in the house and make sure they are all turned off, or use the Sage Webserver to identify the extender and turn it off.

Any idea on how I could do this without leaving the couch?

Thanks
Bill

Laptop, iPod Touch, netbook, web enabled cell phone, etc., etc....

Those would all keep you on the couch and allow you to access the webserver!

Just saying. Otherwise, no there isn't a way to release a tuner/turn off an extender from the interface.

I tried to use dynamic menus (default STV) to issue a WGET command to the webserver to reboot the extenders. I could not get it to work. I'm sure that would be the simplest way, if someone could try to figure that out

Trying to use Dynamic Menu's is an interesting idea. I'll play with it a little over the weekend and see if I have any better luck. I'll let you know if I somehow figure it out
