Dummy's guide to adding netbios hostname to my HD-200
All my TCPIP based devices/equipment show up nicely in an object based "network neighborhood" in Windows. Whats the quickest way (step by step for Linux morons) to assign a host name to my HD-200 thats broadcasted on my LAN... not to be confused with assigning it a hostname for DNS.
Thanks in advance!

I don't have an answer for you but am having the same question.
In my case i run DD-WRT on my router and it's nice to see hostnames associates with the MAC so i can tell when a device that i'm not familiar with is on my network. |
