HD PVR / HD200 Low Sound Volume

My HD recordings are being recorded with really low volume.

I have my TV volume up 100% and my HD200 up to 100% and it's barely loud enough. I am recording via the RCA white/red cables on the PVR HD connected to my STB Time Warner box.

Is there a setting somewhere that I don't know about that would make all recordings so low?

You probably already tried this, but I had a similar problem and found that I needed to max the volume on my cable set-top box.
Also, in the advanced settings for my cable box (SA4250), there was a sound setting (I forget the exact name) that allowed me to choose "Wide", "Normal", or "Narrow" for the sound setting. Choosing "Narrow" made the output from the box noticeably louder.

Cool thanks! I forgot about the volume on the STB

I will check it tonight.

Thanks wsack. That was it - changing the STB sound to "Narrow" made the sound go up.

I've got an SA4250, but I'm not seeing this option. The only two things I see in the stb Settings are Audio > Digital and Audio > Variable.

Keep going into "Audio" menu. It will then display yet another longer menu and you will find the option. If you don't find it, let me know and I will look it up and tell you exactly what the options are.

What is the key sequence on the STB remote to get to that menu? I'm not seeing a way to get to an Audio-only submenu.
