The sagemc.jar is there.
I tried the manual update and immediately upon loading TVE, it would have look like the way I set it up (I can tell because I up the font from 12 to 18), but it flashes the way I want it for one second and immediately reverts back to the old settings.

Question: My wife likes banners, I like my wife but don't like banners, is there a way to keep both of us happy?? (like have the banners show up on the left, but a series title in the default font somewhere on the episode listing side... I keep thinking it would be nice above episode listing anyway... maybe??)
Seems most everything is configurable, maybe there's a way? |

I followed the instructions on the previous page, but I couldn't get the TVE plugin to show up in SageTV. Eventually, I figured out that these files probably needed to be on the server, not the client. I'm not sure if both need to be there or not, but that's what I did.
Now, I just need to change all the icons back to the ones I had in v6.

PS: sorry i didn't respond to your pm... this morning's been busy... I would have pointed you to the post on the previous page. And an FYI: stuckless helped me get the dependencies figured out so sometime in the near future i am going to submit TVE to the repository.

Will you be updating any functionality in TVE? If so and you need a tester, I am willing to assist.

1. When moving between selections (episodes or groups), there's no "slide" animation. The highlight just disappears and reappears. 2. If you move from the group list to the episode list, the "highlight" for the group list can get stuck there. (see attachment) Easy way to reproduce is to keep going right and then highlight another group. Not sure if anyone intends to do any further fixes for version 1, but figured I'd mention these. Quote:

Found another bug. TVE is apparently breaking the "left as back" in the recording schedule screens in SageTV v7 (both in "interleaved" and "by day").

Am I the only one who can't figure out how to get TVE in v7 to sort by Season/Episode. I feel like I've tried every combination of sort order and or some reason I can't get S/E to sort properly.
Also, why does Original Air Date sort by Added to the Database Date? I've done a rescan of a bunch of my imported video using Mediascrape and it shows either the day I re-imported it or 12/31/69 as the date. Just wanted to know if this is a bug that others are experiencing as well.

To be fair I would like to warn all users of this that it's not real high on my radar screen. That might change if V2 is a long way off.
I've been following the thread but I don't have any plans to actually DO much unless a major bug is found.

I'm using Mediascraper for imported TV. BMT with Recorded TV works as expected. BMT for imported TV was giving me the same problem.
And I don't expect any kind of update or bug fix (I understand that the TVE for v7 port was just a stopgap), I was just making sure that I wasn't beating my head against a wall unnecessarily.

v7
First i have to say TVE is still the best plugin out there and stopping it's dev was a real shame...
I've just switched to v7 (after I found that there was a way to use TVE on it). As said above sorting via SxE doesn't work well. But also episode names and airing date don't appear on newly imported shows. If a show was imported on v6 then I can see it's details in the browser fine. But if I imported it after switching to v7 I get the show name for episode title and 1-1-70 for airing date. Looking into info all the correct data is there. Just not shown in the browser. TVE's development has not been stopped forever... I still have plans to write a TVE v2... Unfortunately for everyone wanting a TVE v2 soon my life has gotten busy and sage programming took a back seat. TVE v1 for v7 works good enough for my use case most of the time so I haven't had a lot of motivation to work on it. Quote:

As I said it works well for my current use case (sage recorded tv only, no bmt, not really any fanart).... I have been meaning to install bmt and get fanart back (been missing it for awhile now bc i didnt want to configure it....) and SxxExx sorting going... so perhaps I'll get some time to look into these issues and maybe get a fixit/patch build out sometime this winter.
