IR Blaster Issue with Sage, Hauppauge 1600 (v1199(

I have a Hauppauge HVR-1600 (v 1199 non-MCE) installed on Windows Media Center 2005 Rollup 2. WinTV works fine with the IRreceiver and Blaster but I have run into a problem with SageTV. However WinTv always installs the MCE-Softcoder...

SageTv receives the correct commands from the IRreceiver and can change channels as directed by my Hauppauge 45key Remote. I have the setup behind a ComCast Motolora DCT700. So, the commands from the IRreceiver should result in 2 actions: 1) changing the channel within the SageTV application which is seen when I am watching "Live TV, 2) blasting of the channel change to the IRblaster resulting in the same channel change being performed by by Motorola DCT700. Step #1 occurs but SageTV never sends the command to change the channel on the DCT700 via the Blaster. I can confirm this as in WinTV, I can actually see the IRBlaster flash red. Nothing happens in SageTV. I've configured SageTV for the Hauppauge IR Blaster Stubdevice under the Source settings.

The list under "Change Tuning Device" in Detailed Setup for "Tuner Control" is empty as is the "Test Infrared Code" & "Reprogram Infrared Code" which should have a list of codes I can transmit from SageTv to test the blaster....

irtune_repeat_factor is set to 1

Any ideas?

I'm about to abandon the whole Hauppauge line and try AverMedia or a similar card if they will be easier to work with...

How many HVR's are you running? I have two in my Sage Server and discovered the Hauppauge IR Blaster would only configure on one card and not the other. I also have a pair of Motorola DCT-700's and used Hauppauge's IR Blaster Config utility to program. Try using Code Set 80...it seems to work fine for me.
