Watford freeview transmitter

Hi

I have recently moved to Watford and have been having some reception issues using my Crystal Palace frq file.

Does anybody know which transmitter serves Watford best?

Does anybody from the Watford area have a frq file that they could donate to me? I tried using the scanchannelsBDA that Slingshot72 wrote. It seemed to find the same frequencies as my Crystal Palace frq file so I'm not sure why I'm getting poor reception

Any help appreciated
Paul

Hemel Hempstead is your nearest transmitter. http://www.ukfree.tv/transmitters.php will show you transmitters you can receive. Also, have a look around you & see where others have their aerials pointed.

I used to live on Bushey Heath, we had our aerial pointed towards Asda which would follow line with Hemel as the source. I think Crystal Palace is the next nearest but is the other side of the hill.

Thanks for the replies

My reception seemed to clear up all by itself thankfully.

I found out that our aerial is pointing to Crystal Palace so I have the right frequencies.

It also means that I can pick up freeview hd in my new tv

If only there were some dvb-t2 cards I could put into my sage box...

Is that a freesat receiver? I don't have that but I am lucky enough to receive freeview hd so I'm looking for a dvb-t2 card rather than dvb-s2

Hauppauge have promised a single tuner DVB-T2 device will be available late summer 2010.

I wouldn't take that date too literally. There is a shortage of T2 chips & priority is being given to shipments to TV & STB manufacturers. Even when Hauppauge make a card, there's bound to be teething problems with beta drivers etc.

Remember that "beta" is latin for "still doesn't work".

I imagine that Hauppauge & all the other prospective manufacturers of DVB-T2 cards would have really wanted to get a product out in time for the football World Cup.
