Restoring Recordings
I have upgraded from Windows XP to Windows 7. Unfortunately I lost my copy of wiz.bin and sage.properties. The recordings are still on the disk.
I have tried setting repair_mismatched_media_filenames=true, and advanced_video_file_recovery=true. I have tried these together, and one at a time. Neither worked for recovering my files. What else can I do to make SageTV find the recordings? |

All the recording metadata is stored in Wiz.bin, not in the files themselves. Without Wiz.bin, it will treat them as imports rather than recordings. (That's why backups are important.)
There are third-party tools you can use to import metadata from other sources. BMT seems to be the most popular, but I don't use it myself, so I can't help you with specifics.
