Plugin: Mobile Web UI for v7

The mobile web interface is available in the v7 Plugin Repository. Look for "SageTV Mobile Web Interface". Version 1.3 is essentially a repackaging of version 1.2 for the v7 Plugin Repository. The next update will target a few minor enhancements to support new v7 features - including favorite autoconversion.

Thanks for pointing out the wiki for others The wiki's installation instructions haven't been updated for v7 and will obviously be quite different - and hopefully a lot easier. I plan on updating it as soon as I get the time.

What would be really cool is if you showed extended and clients and had a web remote...then this could be used as a remote control

Connected extenders, placeshifters, and clients can be viewed by clicking on the "Home" menu item. The web remote has been requested before. It's on my list but there are other things I want to do before that.

I'm trying out the beta and have got both this plugin and the full web interface working, but they are not showing as the latest versions.
Mobile web still saying 1.2 and full web saying 2.25.

It sounds like you have some duplicate jar files. Can you post a listing of your JARs folder?

After doing some more research I think I forgot to update the version numbers in the code. Don't worry about what it says for now.

I'm having issues getting this to work after installation. Firstly, I cannot find what the defined port value is (the wiki says to configure this in "Step #7 above" but there is no step #7 listed. I'm guessing the documentation is just out of date.

I think if I knew what the default port value is, and where to change it, I would be good to go.

Thanks!

lol.. that works-ish... now it prompts me for a username and password. What is the defaults, and how do I change this, and the port in the future?

Sorry, I must be missing the instructions somewhere.....

All Jetty apps share the same port and login, which you configure through the Jetty plugin. Go to the plugin manager, click Options, choose Installed Plugins, click on Jetty, and choose Configure.

Thanks GKusnick! I hadn't found we could actually configure the plugins through the UI, as well. That's really cool! I was scanning through the various txt config files everywhere

Part of the idea of the new plugin manager is to do everything through the UI, so you don't have to mess with config files.

Request for feature

It would be cool if the feature to playback a recording via an extender was available in this version, like the desktop version of this web server.

If that was available I could then use by mobile phone as kind of a remote control for Sage.

Thanks in advance,

Jarred

I haven't updated the wiki yet. I didn't realize anyone even read it

Thanks! That was the key info I needed to get this working... the instructions aren't good for V7 just yet

Sorry if I'm about to ask the obvious

I have an older version of Jetty / Mobile Web / Neilm's Webserver running. I just upgraded to SageTV v7 beta -- can I use the plugins section in v7 to install the newer versions without uninstalling the current/old versions?

Thanks!

Cheers,
D

Maybe not obvious, but it has been asked before Although it has been hard to keep up with the volume of messages on the board since the v7 beta was announced.

Here's a thread that explains updating Jetty. The main thing is that you should make sure you're either on Jetty 1.6 or uninstall it before installing/updating it through the plugin manager.

The web apps will upgrade fine. It will install the build of nielm's web server that runs in Jetty.
