What version for 7 beta?

Hey guys,

I've been using STV for a long time and I honestly have no clue as to what version I'm using. Client? Placeshifter? Media Center? I know it's not the server. It's 6.X.X. But I want to try the beta of ver. 7 but don't which one to download and if I need the upgrade fee. Thanks.

You just have the one pc that you use for recording and viewing right (based on your signature)? Then you want the Media Center.

Thanks you. And I guess I have to pay for the upgrade too.

Yes you'll have to pay for the upgrade version.

While all of the Version 6 updates were free, this is a new and improved version of SageTV Media Center. It is normal to have to pay for new software versions - not just for SageTV but software companies in general.

I've been using it for the last couple of days and can say that it will be worth the $40 upgrade fee. Good news is that you can try it out for 21 days and decide if it is worth the $40 upgrade fee, or if you want to stick with Version 6.
