Slow
My server with the last beta is running so poorly and for some reason or not my HD200's are responding super slow. I screwed up installing the BMT plugin and now I think I really screwed the pouch...

Well perhaps the issues are related to the botched upgrade. However, make sure you are running the latest BETA version of the HD-200 firmware. The older versions do not work well with the V7 beta.
Perhaps there is some weird combination of events that is occuring on your system that is a potential "bug", but overall I think most people would agree that V7 is in fact noticably faster than V6 on both clients and extenders.

On the HD200 I was using I was using the beta firmware as well. I rolled back and the HD200 is still not working well so I replaced the firmware with the latest release version. Things still seem to be running poorly. If only I didn't try to install the BMT plugin which was already installed!

SageTV 7 is a beta product. I think that anyone that installs it, and uses the plugin manager, has to expect some issues. That's the reason to have a beta, so that people like yourself, can sacrifice their time/system to help make the product better. No one should be willing to go down this path, if they are not willing to totally corrupt their system in the process Have you tried to use the BMT Upgrade Tool that I posted the other day, to clean up the JARs area? BMT jar naming changed a lot for Sage7 to align with the new plugin manager. While this is frustrating for the end user, it's the right thing to do. The one downside to having a plugin manager that makes it easier to install plugins is that people are going to install more plugins. The problem, is that sagetv ships with a very conservative jvm memory setting. One of the first things that I do is up that amount by a full GIG. The more plugins that you install, the more memory you should give to sagetv, because plugins do use memory.

My entire machine is running like crap now and I have NO idea why. I don't believe in coincidences so I believe it has something to do with 7.0. I am royally kicking myself in the butt because everything was running just fine! The HD-PVR fixes really enticed me though!

@neil - maybe try running a few days without ANY plugins installed... ie, get rid of them all, and see if you still experience some performance issues. If so, then you can probably go through sage support. Once performance is ok, gradually start adding back in plugins. The whole process may take a couple of weeks, but at least you'll figure it out.

I think you should try what stuckless suggested and try running for a few days without plugins. I did the upgrade to V7 and the firmware upgrade to my HD200. Before installing any plugins all was zipping along quite nicely. Over the next week I started installing plugins (the new plugin installer makes that quite easy) and somewhere along the way navigating around the UI on both my desktop PC and my HD200 slowed way down. Yesterday evening I uninstalled all but comskip and UPnP and now I am back to zipping around.
Over the next 4-6 days I will install a plugin and run it that way for a day or so. If no slow down, then I install the next one and so on......

I suspect comskip with Dirmon2 causing a lot of problems. I can't be 100% sure but when I rolled back to 6.x I noticed slowness. I stopped dirmon2 as a service and things have been running really well. I am just gun shy about going back to 7. When I was experiencing problems I realized just how much me and my family rely on sage to get through the day
