Plugin question

Can you not have 2 plugins types under one manifest? It doesn't appear so but I have a stvi plugin that relies on a theme and the only way to get the theme loaded is to declare plugin type of theme but obviously I can't get the stvi loaded like that. Am I stuck making 2 plugins I guess but it is a bummer because I don't want the theme seen as it won't work without the stvi.

Yeah, I ran into this over the weekend too, looks like you'll just have to shove the theme in the Library. Would be nice to have a "Hidden" section to put dependencies no one should see or download manually.

Having a problem? Don't forget to include a log! (Instructions for: PlayOn For SageTV v1.5, MediaShrink)

Yeah that is what I have been wanting. The problem with shoving it in library is the theme doesn't then get auto loaded which I need.

A single plugin can have multiple packages of different types that extract into different directories. But an STVI with required image resources should be doable all in one package; just put the images in the same zip as the STVI and extract them to a subdirectory.

I'm having trouble picturing what it means for an STVI to require a specific theme to be loaded. Seems like STVIs ought to be theme-neutral so that users can choose whatever theme they like without breaking other plugins.

It seems that way huh but not the case in mine it is my menu modification and I had to mod some of the them images to work with horizontal menu vs a vertical and it was easier to make a new theme for it rather than make images the stvi relies on.

As it turns out you can't make stvi's dependent on a theme anyhow so not quite sure how I am going to work this one yet.

Edit yes you can have it as a dependency type on my part.
