Registering Media Extender license with Linux Server
Windows Server has a separate program to register the Media Extender Placeshifter license.
What are the steps to register a Media Extender Placeshifter license with the Linux Server?

There is no steps just
1. start sagetv service on the server 2. And connect the placeshifter/extender to it

Not quite that easy.
I can connect one client but when a second one connects the first one is instantly booted out of the session. It is really quite rude, I was in the middle of watching a show.
Anyone know the actual answer to registering a Linux placeshifter license? They sold me a license with the server but I don't know how to register it.

it really is that easy...
I have been using the Linux version for a LONG time and I have never registered place-shifter licenses. There must be something else going on with your setup.
