Elecard vs Sonic?

I was wondering if you guys had an opinion on which one is better. Right now I have the Sonic decoders that are included with Theatertek. Is it true that you can only use the Dscaler option in Sage if you have Elecard's decoder?

DScaler via Sage only works with Elecard. However, you can use ffdshow with either and you can use DScaler through ffdshow. Doing this for me does use more CPU though.

Personally I prefer Elecard but it is real close. I find the VMR9 works much better with Elecard.

NVDVD 3 is the best!

Sorry couldn't resist. Now I just have to get a video card that doesn't suck (the R9500 is wearing on me).

NVDVD 3.0?

Please excuse my ignorance, but where do you get NVDVD 3.0? Nvidia's site only shows NVDVD 2.0 as a legacy product. Has it been rolled into Forceware?

Does it work on non-Nvidia cards?

Thanks,
Chris

nVDVD 3 is kind of the nickname for Forceware Multimedia DVD Edition, it's only been available in beta and via a BIG goof on the part of Viewsonic. Yes it does work on non-nVidia cards.

Where can you download nvdvd 3? I am on nVidia's website now and I see you can download this:

Forceware
Version: 56.72
Release Date: April 1, 2004
WHQL Certified

Is this it? and will it work on an MSI FX5200? I want to try it out. It looks like it's basically a new driver set that nVidia has released?

Basically it was in beta for a while, and Viewsonic accidently posted it for a day or so, but no there's no where to download it yet, AFAIK, it hasn't been officially released.
