4.3 in the Repository

I've updated BMT 4.3 (phoenix 2.0.5) into the repository...

Some notes...
1. Ignore the Title Masks in the phoenix-core configuration. They are used with the GetFormattedTitle api call, and they are NOT used to set a formatted metadata title. (these options were supposed to be hidden, but i didn't realize it until after I published)

2. Ignore the fact that the web ui says it's version 4.2... It is 4.3... I forgot to adjust the version

Here's the list of issues/enhancements...
185 Release4.3 ClassCastException on SearchResults from Web UI * BMT BMTWEB
186 Release4.3 import as TV * BMT BMTWEB
187 Release4.3 API: GetFormattedTitle * Phoenix
191 Release4.3 Reports of System Messages when System Messages are turned off * BMT
194 Release4.3 IMDB User Rating tends to give 250 * BMT
195 Release4.3 All scans immediately ending as "canceled" * BMT BMTWEB
197 Release4.3 Max Metadata Lengths * BMT
200 Release4.3 TVDB: Some queries fail when language=en * BMT TVDB

You'll notice import as tv has been re-enabled for both the web ui scanning, metadata editing, and the automatic plugin.

I hope no one experiences any major issues with this release, since I'll be on vacation for 3 weeks (with limited internet activity during that time).

I'd recommend upgrading by upgrading the Web UI plugin.. that will force an upgrade of all the dependencies. You'll need to restart sage for the changes to take effect.

Alright, works fine for me.
Is this going to make Fuzzy's 'move to recordings' addin obsolete?

It may... but i doubt fuzzy will mind... actually it may not even make it obsolete... since BMT doesn't provide any stv add-ons... so from the stv, you'd still need/want to use Fuzzy's plugin to move media items to recordings.

Did you upgrade from sage6? If so, check your STVs/Phoenix/vfs/ext/ folder and delete any files in there (there shouldn't be any there).

It sounds like your vfs configuration is using an older configuration. If there are files in there, and you delete them, you'll need to restart sagetv in order for the changes to take effect.

Also, maybe create a bmt support request and send me it to me, and i"ll review the logs. If you get an error in the vfs, it will most certainly show up in the logs.

I'll chekc it out, but this is just Sage7 from scratch.
I have a STVs/Phoenix/vfs/ path, but no /ext in the vfs folder. There are 2 files in the vfs folder.
Which log files are you after?

yeah, probably does make it obsolete, but I certainly don't mind. I don't see much use for my plugin, which requires the metadata that BMT adds before it can move them anyways, if BMT can just move them when the metadata is grabbed...

to have BMT move them, you need to re-scan the files, with the 'Move TV to SageTV Recordings' checked, in the BMT web interface.

I get this error on DVD and Sage Imports. The others work. This is a clean install with Sage 7.0.12 and only BMT 4.x installs from the repository.

In addition to what Fuzzy mentioned... when you edit a file, you can simply toggle the Sage Recording checkbox.

Gerry, if you send me the log files, and I look for issues (tools -> create support request).

Hey, I dont see a 'Move TV to SageTV Recordings' checkbox anywhere . I do see a 'Sage Recording?' checkbox at the top.

I'll send out that log later, too.

When you do a scan this is an options dialog that appears.. in that dialog there will be an option called "import tv files as recordings" (or something like)... and when you edit a medifile item, the "Sage Recording" checkbox is what makes a media item a recording, if it's checked.

The only scan I do is "Refresh Library" or "Find Metadata". I either select between movie and TV and there's that other checkbox asking if it's a sage recording.

Use the web ui Browse page, browse to the folder you want to update, and click 'Update Metadata'. In the options window that pops up, there will be an option 'Import TV Files as Recordings'. enable that checkbox, then do your scan. Items identified as TV will be reassigned new ExternalID's EPmt[id]s[season#]e[episode#], which will cause them to be visible in the recordings section of sage.

Oh, ok, now I see. I've only ever went to an individual file to update, not a folder. Thanks again.

That other issue where it was giving me that tuner error didnt happen today for some reason. I blame it on Gremlins.

I finally decided to Add my imported series into TV.... I have my playlist settings "Shuffle Video Playback" unchecked and "Repeat Video Playback" unchecked. The episodes are in the right order. The problem is when I select the whole group to play.. it plays in an order different than from episode 1 through the end. It plays them randomly.

Is anybody else having this problem or is this a bug in Sage?

Edit
It appears that they play fine if I use the Malore menus.

This is a bug in Sage Not BMT... It happens with the recorded TV Series too.
