Metadata in existing video files changed?
I have a folder of saved shows that I back up to an external drive. The binary compare feature of my backup program (Beyond Compare) is telling me that the files on the HTPC machine have binary differences compared to my last backup (before SageTV 7), although the file dates, times, and sizes are still identical.
Is it possible that SageTV might have made changes to files without updating the file attributes?

V7 stores recording metadata in the files themselves as well as in Wiz.bin. It does so without modifying the timestamps of existing files so that they continue to agree with the airing times in the EPG.
