Very newbish 350 sound output question
I recently built a pvr with the hauppauge 350 in it and SageTV. I want to connect it to my TV and the card came with a cable with S-video and 3 composite connectors.
My Tv has an S-video connector and 2 places for component connectors but I'm not sure where the composite sound should go. I don't have any stero system/ reciever right now, just a vcr/dvd player going to the 2 component inputs. I've been using the TV speakers for sound. Should I run the composite cables to the TV or back to the PC sound card or somewhere else? Thanks for the info! |

I am a little confused about what you are asking. If you use S-Video then you also need a stereo cable with 2 RCA type connectors for the audio. The 3 composite connectors is the 2 cables for the stereo audio the third cable is for the video signal.
Is looks like your TV may only accept the S-Video with the Stereo cable. Is the " 2 places for component connectors" color coded as RED and WHITE? If so then it is for the Stereo audio. A YELLOW RCA type connector is for the video composite signal.
