It's not working for me. I'm using the default settings. No dummy files are being created.

What verion of Windows? Windows 7 Ultimate 32-Bit
Is Sage running as a service? Yes
Is the service run as a user or localhost? As a user with admin rights
Is UAC turned on? No
Any anti-virus software running? Microsoft Security Essentials
Do you get an error when you open a command prompt and run the command
Code:
mkdir newFolder. A folder is created without issue

Code:

      + /Please add Netflix login in PlayOn Settings (netflix-96c579e7-c3b1-4aac-b354-dcc97f64dd82)
    ! Couldn't find : Instant Queue
Be sure to add your Netflix login details in the PlayOn settings and click "Test" button to make sure PlayOn can log in.

If you don't have Netflix than I think evilp will have to give the option to not include Netflix in a future release.

I don't have a Netflix account. Didn't know it was all or nothing.

Yep, that's the problem

I'm getting a release ready right now that fixes all 3 of the big issues people are having. Should be out tonight.
  • MyMovies support doesn't work
  • Fails to create folders on XP
  • Fails if you don't have both a Netflix *and* Hulu account

I was just getting ready to pick up the phone to call my mom and ask her for her netflix ID. The hardest part was coming up with a way to explain why I needed it. "Yeah mom, I'm not going to use it, I just need it to log into a thing that lets me use Hulu."

That may be my problem as well. I also don't use Netflix. I'm just not sold on how much is available via Watch It Now and I'm not interested in renting either BD or DVDs.

Awesome! I'll be looking for it. Will this release also include making folders for Netflix instant queue movies? Maybe that's part of the MyMovies fix? That was the one other thing that I failed to mention in my previous post(s).

It's also not working for me.

I am only using a Netflix account and not Hulu so that is likely the problem.

Looking forward to the updated release tonight.

Ok, I think I got all of the big ones, sorry about the bugs. Please do post if these fixes clears up your problems.

Version 1.4.3.1
  • Fixes issue where plugin didn't work on XP due to mkdir being unable to make nested folders.
  • Fixes issue where MyMovies mode was never getting enabled even if the property was set to true.
  • Fixes issue where scraping only succeeded if you had both a Netflix and Hulu Queue.
  • Added cleanup of orphaned folders
  • Fixed folder names having HTML escape charactors

This looks like it's fixed everything for me. I'm not seeing them in the recordings list, but I use TVE so that may be the cause. Do I need to use folder view in the default Recordings List to see them?

The videos will show up in the Imported Videos section by default. To get them to show up in the Recordings menu read the info in the first post about how to configure BMT.

I have BMT set up that way. Maybe I'm just rushing it too much. I'll try waiting a while.

Edit: Never mind. I had reconfigured my BMT to only scan Recordings as I didn't want it interfering with My Movies. I added back most of the other categories and now it works perfectly.

This is quite possibly the awesomest (that's a word now) plugin I've ever used. This, SMM and TVE are tied for the best stuff out there.

Great job. Everything works perfectly now. Too bad comskip doesn't work on Hulu though .

Just to be sure I'm clear, if I have MyMovies configured to scan/import the directory where the Netflix Hulu PlayOn is putting its files I will get the meta data via MyMovies and won't need to install BMT, correct?

Sorry if I am misstating this, there is not a lot of clarity for me on how all of the pieces fit together. I have both the MyMovies and PlayOn plugins working correctly and enough points on MyMovies to get cover art.

Never mind, checked MyMovies forum prior to posting this, see this thread. Suggest you add a link in the first message on this thread to the instructions in the MyMovies forum or include them directly in the first post as all that is mentioned specifically is BMT, might save some confusion, information hunting.

This is so cool, the integration further validates not needing to have subscription satellite or cable (got rid of mine 6 weeks ago) cha-ching, my wife loves this

Amazing work guys!!!

Thanks!
-Ben

You know what would be cool, is if instead of dummy files, the plug-in could invoke a download via Play-on of what is in your Hulu queue, say sort of like a virtual tuner.

This could happen in the background say 1 show at a time, as playon uses a lot of resources. Then, once the files are downloaded, you could probably run comskip on them, since I think Playon is converting the stream to MPEG2.

Just a thought.... I wish I knew how to write code.... I just know what I want unfortunately, and rely on the smart people in this forum to make it happen.

That'd certainly be ideal, but Netflix/Hulu content is only licensed for streaming, not downloading, so this plugin will always be 100% for streaming.

Works great. Makes getting my hulu shows easier.

One question. I have the 2005 version of Doctor Who series in Netflix. It shows up as "Doctor Who", which BMT matches to the series as a whole, so season one maps to the first season of Doctor Who, mismatching the metadata. Is there a way to map "Doctor Who" to "Doctor Who (2005)"?

Thanks,
Ben

BMT has a file in...
Code:
C:\Program Files\SageTV\SageTV\STVs\Phoenix\scrapers
Called MediaTitles.xml which you can use to force BMT to pick a specific version of a show when there are conflicts. Just open it up, and delete what's in it, and copy this in...
Code:
<titles>
   <match>
    <regex>[\\/]Doctor Who</regex>
    <title>Doctor Who (2005)</title>
    <metadata type="tv" name="tvdb">78804</metadata>
  </match>
</titles>
You'll need to restart Sage for BMT to pick up the changes, but it should start working.
